Assateague Island

Assateague Island is located between Ocean City and Chincoteague Island. in Maryland.

The beaches seem endless with clean, fine sand.

It has a very nice Visitor Center with great help from the desk on the information and maps.

The area has the access for the general public area.

SUV with permit only access area,

And on foot only area,

and no access area.

Black bellied Plovers are busy.

Snowy Owl is nonetheless, the hot topic of this wildlife winter migrating season,

more people are visiting to enjoy the sight of this pretty, cute owl.

The area is so large, the Snowy moving around, not easy to spot it.

The wild horse is another attraction for the wildlife lovers.

The sun is about to set for the last day of the year 2013.
