Baby Osprey – soon to fledge

Between in the middle and the end of July, baby ospreys in this region are taking the first flight,

before the long journey (both the distance and the life).

Alongside of Chesapeake Bay area (Anne Arundel County and the adjacent counties), thousands of ospreys spend their nesting season here.

It’s the best time of witnessing baby ospreys’ activities.

Some couples are doing good for raising their babies,

but watching some empty nests without babies, somewhat sad, whether the couples couldn’t make it by natural causes or by any others.

Still, those couples are around to keep their nests before they leave to south in the end of the nesting season.
